Draft — not yet reviewed
This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is a complete draft written against what this site actually does, with gaps marked in square brackets where DNM has to supply the answer. It must be reviewed before launch — India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 applies, and GDPR may apply to enquiries from the EU.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers the contact form, the request-a-quote form including any files you upload with it, and the analytics we run on the site.
It does not cover information exchanged with us outside the website — by email, phone or on site — which is governed by whatever agreement is in place between us.
What we collect
From the contact and quote forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to write in the enquiry itself. From the quote form specifically: the plant location, existing control platform, project scope and timeline you select, and any drawings, photographs or program files you attach.
Automatically: standard web analytics — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. We do not run advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation. Drawings and files you upload are used solely to scope the work you are asking about.
To understand which parts of the site are useful, so we can improve them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not share enquiry details with third parties for their own purposes.
We use service providers to run the site and deliver email — hosting, email delivery, file storage and analytics. They process information on our instructions only.
Technical drawings and plant information you send us are treated as commercially confidential and are not shown to anyone outside the engineering team working on your enquiry.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and their attachments are retained for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the project proceeds. [Confirm the retention period DNM wants to commit to.]
You can ask us to delete an enquiry and its attachments at any time.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details on the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable period.
[Grievance officer name and contact to be inserted — required under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.]
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded files are stored in access-controlled storage. We limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it to respond.
